My name is John Devanski and my artistic career started at a young age with peanut butter and jelly wall murals. Later on I had trouble with an eye test — and Guy With Glasses was born. And, thanks to a great teacher, I wanted to be a graphic artist at age 14.

Tyler School of Art at Temple University taught me to avoid the “expected” solutions to problems and to dig deeper. I came to understand that strong and effective graphic design does not come easy. Those lessons are reflected in my work and in the way I interact with my clients; I’m always ready to say “yes” to requests, keep on pushing and work harder to make my work the best it can be.

I started my own business soon after graduating college. For more than 25 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients in many industries — from small and midsize businesses to large corporations and educational institutions. Experience has also taught me how to anticipate problems and keep to budgets to save you money.

It’s key for Guy With Glasses – some clients think I’m wearing magnifying glasses because I keep such a careful eye on things. I’m always pushing to make projects better, ensuring files are properly prepped for printing, websites are optimized, following up with writers about typos, fine-tuning creative concepts, and keeping to schedules.
